Last week, the former Prime Minister of Australia was repeatedly questioned about her boyfriend’s sexuality during a radio interview in Perth "Yeah, but you hear it, he must be gay, he's a hairdresser" . The interviewer’s line of questioning has been widely rebuked.
The Australian Newspaper has today reported evidence from Peter O’Callaghan QC that the Police’s submission to the Victorian Parliamentary Inquiry contained false and misleading assertions. Mr O’Callaghan is the Independent Commissioner in charge of the Church’s Melbourne Response Protocol on Child Sexual Abuse.
